Things of this world, SERIOUSLY!!!!

"How blessed is the man who does not walk in the council of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night"(Psalm 1:1-2) -----What joy the Christian has walking opposite of the world. The path of righteousness is not a path of dissatisfaction, turmoil, or strictly obedience, for obedience sake!! His DELIGHT is in the law of the Lord, and evidence of this truth is that, the Christian, meditates on the word of God day and night!!! He loves his Lord, desires his God, runs after Jesus. Jesus is our true satisfaction! What can the world offer, that would even offer a fraction of comparison to what we have in Jesus Christ.

Better is one day

Psalm 84:10 "For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness." How precious is Christ to you? Is he worth more than anything in your life? Is your satisfaction in Him? Can you truly say, just let me eat the crumbs of your table!!?? Does he consume your thoughts? Is He what you love to talk about? Is your longing to worship him? Do you love His church? Oh Christian, if you are not captivated by these things, please examine yourself!!!! "For one day with Christ, is better than a thousand else where"

Bareness.....Flourishes

Bareness, drought, empty land...... These are the words that describe me now!!!! Gods presence is not here!!!! I am desperately needing food and water, if I am not nourished I will surely DIE!!! Sluggishness invades my spirit, emptiness creeps into my mind. Shall I sit and do nothing as the world makes war against me. Shall I lay by the side as bareness begins to crack the ground. Oh my soul is in turmoil, my mind makes war against my spirit. Oh father, will you come to my rescue? Come quickly, before I am overtaken. The world drew first blood, and only you can save me. Glory be to God for Jesus Christ my Lord. For he has saved me, he has told me who I am and the war was finished on the cross. All glory to him who sits upon the throne, who by his very word will strike down nations, and bring peace to all His children. Oh the comfort of the cross, the peace that surpasses all understanding. When I am barren you discipline like a loving father and I am never left without hope!!! The joy that overcomes me is more satisfying than anything this world could offer. You give water when there's drought and you flourish the barren land, You nourish the hungry and thirsty. Your fierce passionate love brings me to my knees in worship. As a deer pants for the water so my soul pants for you, and you quench my ever thirsting soul. Praise you for who you are!!!
